Granville Island Saltwater Fishing Report....dec 27
Winter chinook fishing is definately well underway in Vancouver Harbour! We have done a couple quick trips over the last few days and hooked decent fish both times. On Christmas Eve, I fished the high slack tide and did well hooking a couple good fish, landing one around 26 inches. Today, we fished for 90 minutes around the low slack tide and landed one real nice 28.5 winter chinook and released a 24 inch fish. There were more fish caught amongst the 3 or 4 other boats who were also trolling in Vancouver Harbour. We have a charter out tomorrow.....looking to see what 4 or 5 hours of trolling will bring!
We have had our best luck in the harbour running small silver horde spoons and 3.5 inch coyote spoons in 90 to 110 feet of water.
The weather looks amazing for the next 5 or 6 days. There is very little wind forecasted, mild temps, and even a few days of sunshine forecasted. Give us a call if you want to take advantage of the great conditions to go and fish for winter chinook salmn, dungeness crabs, and spot prawns!
