Granville Island Fishing Charter Report, March 5th
Pretty tough go in local waters over the last couple days. We had a couple trips over the last few days with limited results on bigger fish. We fished Vancouver Harbour and got some bites, but they were all from undersized fish. The reports from Howe Sound were not much better with only a few smaller fish reported. Things change pretty quick and with some luck things will perk back up later this week. March is typically a pretty good month for winter chinook!
There has been some good reports a little further west and south so we may go exploring down that way later this week.
Crabbing has been amazing in the the harbour and limits were easy on the weekend.
We are looking forward to our chinook fishery in April and May. It is one of the best times of the year for chinook salmon fishing in Vancouver. Good numbers of fish gather off the South end of Bowen Island and the outer reaches of Vancouver Harbour!
