Winter Chinook Salmon Season is Here!
As we transition into the colder months, Winter Chinook (also called blackmouth) take center stage in the Vancouver and Sidney areas. These fish are smaller than the summer Chinook but still provide excellent sport with their strong, aggressive fights. Winter Chinook fishing typically runs from late fall through early spring, with November being an ideal time to target them from our Vancouver and Sidney locations.

Fall Fishing Report for Vancouver
We had one of the best Septembers on record for numbers of chinook! The consistency of the fishery was tough to beat and we had solid opportunities on most days off the Fraser River Mouth and in Vancouver Harbour. It is now October and we are still seeing good numbers of migrating chinook and coho salmon.

Vancouver Fishing Report June 17, 2024
Georgia Strait has been a lively one over the last few weeks. While on our Vancouver salmon fishing the abunance hales, salmon, seals and baitfish have been amazing to see. There are good numbers of coho showing in the Gulf Islands and a few showing up off the South End of Bowen Island. We will likely see more coho in Vancouver waters soon.
