Fall Fishing Report for Vancouver
We had one of the best Septembers on record for numbers of chinook! The consistency of the fishery was tough to beat and we had solid opportunities on most days off the Fraser River Mouth and in Vancouver Harbour. It is now October and we are still seeing good numbers of migrating chinook and coho salmon. We are out daily and we have been fishing Sandheads with consistency on our full day trips. On our half day trips off Bowen Island, the Bell Buoy, T 10 Marker, Point Atkinson and tthe Cap Mouth.
We will likely target migrating salmon until the 3rd week of October and after that we will switch to targeting one of our favourite fish of the year, WINTER CHINOOK SALMON!!! These fish show in October and stay with us all winter! We have had winter chinook back to the dock already and all signs are pointing to another good year. November and December are usually very good months to target them.
Give us a call to get out to target the last migratory fish of the year and/or the first winter chinook salmon of the year!!!!
